White Tie & Tiara
Each year, Elton John and his partner David Furnish host their annual White Tie & Tiara charity ball at their home in Old Windsor. Together with my sons Aleksander and Filip and other friends we attended this year’s 14th annual bash.The theme of the ball was „Motown” - famous record company from the sixties with hits by Temptations, the Four Tops, The Supremes and The Jackson 5. The living legend of the Motown Smokey Robinson performed this evening. Sir Elton John & David Furnish in association with Chopard gathered some famous celebrities, including Naomi Watts, George Michael, Grace Jones, Trudie Styler and Lizzie Jagger, Lara Stone, Kelly Brook, Beth Ditto, Florence Welch, Adam Lambert, Dame Shirley Bassey. During the auction for the foundation, guests bid for a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate David Furnish’s 50th birthday. It went for 750.000 £
The evening was a great success and permitted to raise over 4 Millions pounds to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the fight against AIDS. We all had a great time.
